About

The fifth release in Akkeshi's Twenty Four Seasons series. Ritto means "the beginning of winter" and is the 19th of the 24 solar terms. The key malt is Hokkaido malt aged in mizunara oak casks, with supporting sherry and Pinot Noir wine casks. The label design is inspired by Chitose candy, reflecting the Shichi Go San festival.

What People Are Saying

Part of Akkeshi's collectible 24 Solar Terms series. The community treats these seasonal releases as a cohesive collection rather than individual standouts. Ritto (Winter Solstice) fans appreciate the darker, richer character that the seasonal theme implies. Overall, the Akkeshi community consensus of "consistently excellent" peated, maritime whisky applies across the Solar Terms lineup, with price being the main pain point.
