About
Part of Akkeshi distillery's ambitious Twenty Four Seasons series, where each release is named after a Japanese seasonal term. Boshu (Grain in Ear) represents early summer. Akkeshi's Hokkaido coastal location produces an Islay like peated character.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Maritime salt, peat smoke, honey, citrus, and a fresh herbal quality
Palate
Peaty and coastal with honey, brine, smoked fish, orchard fruit, and a complex layering of flavors
Finish
Long and smoky with lingering sea salt and sweet malt
How to Enjoy
Best enjoyed neat. Add a few drops of water to open up the maritime and peaty notes.
